Termini e condizioni

Versione 1.3 — 30 settembre 2026

Terms and conditions

Version 1.3 — 30 September 2026

This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.

AcceptanceYou accept these terms only once, when you sign up, and they apply to everything you contribute to TripGuideBox: photos, reviews, corrections and suggested new places. If they change significantly, we will ask you to accept the new version before your next contribution.
Photo ownershipWhoever uploads a photo declares that they are its author or hold all the necessary rights and permissions. Ownership of the photo remains with the user.
Licence granted on photosThe user grants TripGuideBox a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, reproduce, resize, technically adapt, publish and display the photo on the website, on the project's official channels and in its promotional activities.
Commercial useThe licence includes commercial uses connected with TripGuideBox, without transferring ownership of the photo and without any automatic payment to the user.
People and third-party rightsWhoever uploads the photo declares that they hold the necessary permissions for any recognisable people, minors, trademarks or other content shown in the image. Do not upload photos taken from the internet or from other profiles.
Truthfulness of photos and liabilityWhoever uploads a photo declares that it genuinely shows the place it is linked to (the venue, its rooms, its dishes or products) and that it is not misleading. The person who uploads the photo is solely responsible for its content, its truthfulness and for respecting copyright and any other third-party rights. The review before publication is meant to exclude inappropriate content, but it does not allow TripGuideBox to establish who the author of a photo is or whether it really shows the place indicated: TripGuideBox is therefore not liable for false or misleading photos, or photos infringing the rights of others, uploaded by users. To the extent permitted by law, the user undertakes to hold TripGuideBox harmless from third-party claims caused by photos uploaded in breach of these terms. Anyone who believes a photo is false or infringes their rights can write to [email protected]: if the report is well founded, the photo is removed without delay. In the event of a dispute, TripGuideBox may provide the competent authorities with the data in the photo log (see below).
Reviews, corrections and suggestionsWhoever writes a review, a correction or suggests a new place declares that the content is their own work, reflects their direct experience or information believed to be true in good faith, and is not offensive, defamatory or otherwise infringing on third-party rights. The user grants TripGuideBox a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, edit for form (e.g. typos) and publish this text on the website and on the project's official channels. The same moderation, removal and retention rules that apply to photos apply here too.
Moderation and removalTripGuideBox may refuse or remove a piece of content. The user can request removal by contacting the site operator. Removal may take the technical time needed and does not affect the retention obligations required by law.
Review before publicationPhotos are resized and stripped of location data (GPS) directly in your browser, then kept in a non-public store until the administrator reviews them. Photos that are not published are deleted after 60 days at the latest. Reviews, corrections and suggestions also stay pending review before appearing on the site.
Deleting your accountIf you delete your account, the licence on content already published remains valid and it stays on the site, unless you ask the operator to remove it.
Photo logTo protect the site against any copyright claims we keep, for each photo, the email of the person who uploaded it, the date and the version of the terms accepted: for as long as the photo is published and for 5 years after it is removed, even after the account has been deleted. Details in the Privacy policy.

These terms are a working draft and must be reviewed by a professional before the service is launched commercially.
