What data we collect
Account: email, username and password (stored only in encrypted form by the authentication service), date you accepted the Terms and conditions, preferred language (Italian or English, so we can email you in your language).
Content you publish: reviews (author name, rating, text), suggestions for new places, reports about existing pages and photos. Photos are resized in your browser before being sent and stripped of metadata, including GPS location.
Photo log: for each uploaded photo we keep the email of the person who uploaded it, the date, the version of the terms accepted and where it is published.
Correction history: when you correct the details of a page (phone, website, email, type of place, price range, dietary options), the correction goes live straight away and we record the previous value, the new one, the date and your account. The site administrator can also see your email address, so that wrong or abusive corrections can be undone.
Technical data: IP address and browser information recorded automatically by the hosting providers for security and to run the service.
Data in your browser: if you log in, the browser keeps your session data to keep you logged in; if you choose a language, the browser remembers it for your next visits. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, or visitor analytics tools.
